Hincapié, Caicedo, Madueke, & Co. - Chelsea vs Arsenal Transfermarkt fan chosen XI revealed

This weekend first-place meets second-place in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge in what is looking like a mouth-watering match-up. Not only that, but the encounter comes just after Chelsea have beaten Spanish giants Barcelona 3-0 in the Champions League, whilst their upcoming opponents Arsenal dismantled Bayern Munich 3-1 at the Emirates. The Blues are currently six points behind the league leaders, but a win on Sunday would put Enzo Maresca's team firmly in the title race and send a strong message to Mikel Arteta's team.

Many debates have raged on social media in recent weeks between Arsenal and Chelsea fans over which of their players are better in a number of positions. To put it to the test, we asked our Transfermarkt followers to vote on a poll of who is better between each player expected to start for both Chelsea and Arsenal this weekend. Let's take a look at the results. We have also included each player's current market values in the brackets after their names in the text.

In between the sticks, when we asked our users to choose between Robert Sánchez (€20m), and David Raya (€40m), it was a resounding win for the latter, winning 80% of the vote. At left-back Chelsea's Marc Cucurella (€45m), usurped Arsenal's Riccardo Calafiori (€40m), with the Spaniard winning 69% of the vote. The first centre-back duel pitted the Blues' Trevoh Chalobah (€32m) against the Gunners' Piero Hincapié (€50m), with the Ecuadorian edging the win with 57% of the vote. The other centre-back duel saw the most one sided result of the entire XI, as Arsenal's William Saliba (€80m) took 89% of the vote against Chelsea's Wesley Fofana (€25m).

There has been plenty of dispute of late over who is the best right-back in the Premier League between Chelsea's Reece James (€35m) and Arsenal's Jurriën Timber (€60m) and that was reflected in the results of the voting. The Englishman just about edged it, taking 52% of the vote. In holding midfield it was a resounding win for the Blues' Moisés Caicedo (€100m) who took 76% of the vote against Arsenal's Martín Zubimendi (€70m). In the 'no.8 role' Arsenal's Declan Rice (€120m) took 72% of the vote against Chelsea's Enzo Fernández (€80m).

As the attacking midfielder we pitted Arsenal's Eberechi Eze (€65m) against Chelsea's João Pedro (€65m), with the Englishman coming out on top winning 74% of the vote. On the left-wing, former Chelsea player Noni Madueke (€50m) beat the Blues' new signing Alejandro Garnacho (€45m), with the Englishman winning 54% of the vote. On the right-wing was the tightest encounter in the entire XI, as Arsenal's Bukayo Saka (€140m) just about edged Chelsea's Estêvão (€60m) with 51% of the voting. Up front we decided to go with two unorthodox strikers with Chelsea's Pedro Neto (€55m) beating Arsenal's Mikel Merino (€35m) with 61% of the vote.
