Just 15 games remain in the Premier League this season, as we now really approach crunch time in the English top-flight. Some people have been critical of the style of football in the Premier League this term, and at times justifiably so, but five English sides finishing in the top eight of the Champions League table showcases the quality on show throughout the division right now. Arsenal currently lead the chasing pack, with Manchester City and Aston Villa four points behind. The race for the top five and therefore the Champions League places looks enthralling, whilst we could be treated to the first meaningful relegation battle that we have had in the last few years. With all this in mind, our four writers responsible for covering the Premier League have selected their Teams of the Season so far. Be prepared for some surprises.

Transfermarkt's Premier League Team of the season so far

Ben Littlemore: Goalkeeper was between Robin Roefs, David Raya and Gianluigi Donnarumma for me, but I have gone for the former as he has helped Sunderland gain some crucial points. At left-back I've opted for the impressive Nico O'Reilly, with Arsenal's Gabriel besides him - the best defender in the league for me. I really wanted to get both Jurriën Timber and Reece James in the side, as I think they have both been outstanding, so I opted to slide the Dutchman in at centre-half, where he is more than capable of playing.

In midfield I have gone for Declan Rice and signing of the summer Granit Xhaka. Ahead of them is Bruno Fernandes - the most creative player in the league this season. Off the left is Morgan Rogers, who is one of the best players in the division for me, with Antoine Semenyo off the right. Harry Wilson is unlucky to miss out, as is Brentford's Igor Thiago, but you cannot leave out the 20-goal Erling Haaland.

Stefan Bienkowski: It's been a season in which many of the big hitters in the Premier League have struggled to perform well. Even league leaders Arsenal haven't had too many outstanding attacking players in form. As such, aside from Haaland's super-human goalscoring form, I think Thiago has been the best striker in the league. Bryan Mbeumo has been excellent too, so slots in on the right.

Midfield is dominated by Unai Emery's impressive Aston Villa, with Amadou Onana and Rogers alongside Bruno Guimarães and then Lewis Hall on the left. Villa and Newcastle also dominate defence, with Malick Thiaw continuing to impress in his debut season. And while Emiliano Martínez may not be the player he once was, he remains one of the best shot-stoppers in the league and a key cog in Villa's defensive set up.

Euan Robertson: Arsenal are overwhelming favourites for the title and their incredible defence has been the cornerstone to their success - Gabriel and Timber are non-negotiables. James is unlucky to miss out, but Marc Cucurella & Ezri Konsa complete the defence after stellar seasons. Xhaka has arguably been signing of season, but Rice and Moisés Caicedo have played at a higher level.

Fernandes, in my opinion, has been the best player in the Premier League this season. Haaland is the top scorer in the Premier League but Thiago is very unlucky to miss out. Wilson has been a revelation and carried Fulham at points, this season, while Aston Villa's Rogers deserves a spot in the side after another impressive campaign that sees Villa fighting at the top.

Joe Krishnan: Roefs has been one of the revelations of the season for me, with 76 saves and seven clean sheets. I've gone for a back three. Trevoh Chalobah has been a rare constant in the Chelsea backline, Gabriel is the best defender in the league, while Marc Guéhi has carried Crystal Palace and earned his big move to Manchester City. Rice and Caicedo are the two best central midfielders in the world right now and their teams rely on them performing consistently.

Semenyo has been superb for Bournemouth and is already off to a decent start with City, while Rogers appears to have taken another step forward this season. Wilson has been unbelievable for Fulham this season - eight goals and six assists prove that. Haaland's form has dipped recently but 20 goals means there is no argument against his inclusion. What is incredible, though, is how Thiago has gone from a potential crock to the highest-scoring Brazilian in a Premier League season at Brentford.
