Bellingham, Saka & Wirtz included - Top 100 players with biggest drop in market value

Transfermarkt's market values are famed across the world and recognised by players, clubs and media organisations. Last week, Ligue 1 received its March intermediary update on Friday, which signalled the final top five league to be adjusted. The Bundesliga, English Premier League, Ligue 1, LaLiga and Serie A have now all received their penultimate update of the season.

The 2025/26 campaign has entered the final stages ahead of the World Cup, but there’s still plenty to play for. Arsenal, Bayern Munich, PSG, Inter Milan and Barcelona are all expected to be crowned champions in their retrospective league but there are some thrilling ties in the Champions League and Europa League quarter-finals. After the March updates, we’ve now analysed which players have gained the biggest market value increases this season from top five league clubs - we've analysed the top ten, but you can view the full list below!

Biggest market value downgrades this season

Rodri’s market value has fallen more than any other player this season, dropping by €45 million, from €110m to his current valuation of €65m. The Spanish international has struggled to replicate his Ballon d’Or performance levels since returning from a serious knee injury and he also missed a large period of this campaign with a hamstring issue. Rodri, however, remains one of the best midfielders in the world on his day and he’s still the second most valuable player born in 1996, behind Raphinha. As the graphic below illustrates, Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo rank joint-second with the Real Madrid duo both dropping by €40m - Bellingham ranks higher as he’s younger.

Both have suffered injury problems and underwhelming form with Rodrygo out for the season, but Belingham is close to a return to full fitness. Victor Boniface and Gavi complete the top five with injury issues central to their substantial downgrades. Florian Wirtz and Bukayo Saka are the only two Premier League stars included in the top ten, with downgrades of €30m due to form. Wirtz has struggled badly to adapt to the demands of English football since joining Liverpool, despite a promising spell around New Year, while Saka has been miles from his best, but they are both still valued at over €100m.
